Leadership ...Cooler than polar bears....
I saw the a program in National Geographic and fell in love with the cutest of polar bears. …what leadership lessons does he teach me ???
1. They are very strong swimmers – Leaders should be resilient and strong willed to swim against the tide and whatever impediments they may come across. They cannot afford to be weak hearted in emotions, thoughts or action
2. Polar bears live in one of the planet's coldest environments – Leaders should learn to survive in the most difficult circumstances. Sunny days can be very few.
3. They have a thick coat of insulated fur, which covers a warming layer of fat – Leaders have to be thick skinned many times to the harsh external environment. Insulating from negativity will make sure that the leader has a warm heart.
4. They have a stark white coat – At whatever cost, leaders should maintain integrity. It will be difficult but exhibiting ethical behaviour is essential
5. Under their fur, polar bears have black skin, to soak in the sun's warming rays – Leaders should soak up all the positives around them - Soaking up in positive relations and positive attitude without which they can freeze to death
6. Polar bears are attractive and appealing – Charisma and pleasantness are essential for leaders. Be professionally attractive and appealing to people to look at you and listen to you
7. Hibernate for 5 months – Leaders should be alone to from the buzzle of the office and people around to think clearly amid chaos.
Haaa…I love polar bears !!!!
